If
you are new to wearing extreme high heels, there is a good chance
you may have some problems being able to walk in them with ease. If
you are having trouble, here are a few things you can do:
• Learn to stand – Simply being able
to stand in extreme high heels is difficult enough. Practice standing
before you try to walk in them. Standing in these shoes helps your
feet adapt to be able to use your body weight and the position of
your legs and feet to walk without falling. When practicing standing,
do so in from of a full-length mirror if you can. This will help you
to see your posture and make corrections if you need to. It is best
to practice standing in a room with a hard floor.
• Take a few steps – As you begin to
get confident in standing, try taking a few steps from one part of
the room to the next. Walk toward the full-length mirror to see how
your posture looks as you walk. If you cannot walk gracefully, then
the whole purpose of wearing extreme high heels is defeated.
• Try the stairs – Make sure you are
comfortable walking in extreme high heels before you step foot on
any stairs. The best way to walk on stairs is to walk on them at a
slight angle to the side. The feet shouldn’t be straight on
the stairs, but angled so that the whole shoe steps on each stair.
The entire foot should land on each step at the same time. If the
toe or heel hits first, there is a greater chance that you may lose
your balance or fall. When wearing extreme high heels on stairs, always
remember to use the rail.
